Background

I have remained professionally associated with the legal field for multiple years, working for industry as well as academia. The intersection between law and technology has always intrigued me. My research interest particularly lies in the regulatory challenges emanating from the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. As a doctoral researcher for the RegulAIR project, I'm focusing specifically on safety and security issues of autonomous civilian drones and their regulation from European perspective. It thus speaks broadly with the challenge of regulating autonomous technologies. The preliminary title of my PhD project is 'The regulation of drone autonomy: implications for the European civil airspace' which is being supervised by Bruno O. Martins and Kristin B. Sandvik.
