Noor Jdid is a doctoral researcher on the project 'Active Citizenship in Religiously and Culturally Diverse Societies (ACT)'. Her geographical focus is on Norway and Denmark and she will be exploring values and motivations behind civic acts, the impact of geographical locations on civic engagement and contestations on what it means to be an active citizen.

Noor holds a Master of Arts in Peace, Development, Security and International Conflict Transformation, from the University of Innsbruck, Austria. In her master thesis she explores empirically how second generation female migrants in Norway negotiate their identities and give new form and content to belonging beyond the nation-state and family contexts.
