Background

​Malin is engaged as a Research Assistant on the MoDe- and CREED-projects. Her research interests include: dynamics of protest and mobilisation, authoritarian regimes, state repression, sectarian violence and migration. She has a particular interest in the Middle East and North Africa region. 

She received her Master's in Political Science at the University of Oslo and wrote her thesis in collaboration with PRIO. Her thesis focused on the impact of sectarian violence on trust in public institutions in Egypt. She also holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Oslo and the University of Queensland.
